Ali El Chalabi, 22 years old, has been working at Alnowair since 2015 and is the Boomerang program leader – an anti-bullying school program that promotes kindness through the applied theater approach. Ali oversees and manages program implementation in all its phases. He is responsible for establishing and growing sustained relationships with local schools, conducting innovative applied theatre workshops for students and more recently was the co-trainer with a renowned applied theater expert Farah Wardani at Boomerang’s Teacher Training workshops.
Ali also manages Alnowair’s group of 300+ volunteers supporting organizations’ community events and social experiments.
Coming from a theater and Performing Arts background prior to Alnowair, he worked with the Russian circus for 4 years and One World Actor Center, under the tutelage of industry experts such as Alison Shan Price (MBE Award Winner)
Adam Darius (Emmy Award Winner) and Kazimir Kolesnik (Artistic Director and Choreographer). He has been part of many successful productions such as ‘Much ado about nothing’, ‘Romeo & Juliet’, ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and ‘Antigone’; as well as ‘Amnesia’ a YouTube series by Vision Visuals Productions.
Ali holds a High School Degree from IGCSE and a degree from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).
