Dr. Mohammad Alsuwaidan is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Head of the Mental Health Unit at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital in Kuwait. He is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at both the University of Toronto and Kuwait University. He formerly served as Program Director for the Kuwait Board of Psychiatry, President of the Kuwait Psychiatric Association, Head of Department at the Kuwait Center for Mental Health and Kuwait’s representative for Mental Health to the World Health Organization.
Dr. Alsuwaidan completed his psychiatry residency, mood & anxiety fellowship and medical education fellowship at the University of Toronto. He completed research training in mood disorders at Stanford University and Tufts University, and a Masters of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University. He is certified in psychiatry by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
