Dr. Jacir is a dual specialist in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry from Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Jacir completed his Medical Education at Tufts University School of Medicine where he started his career at Harvard University School of Medicine as an instructor on the Blake floor for Med/psych dual diagnoses as well as a working attending the Family Medicine Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic.
Dr. Jacir taught Psychopharmacology at Ahliyya University Masters’ in Psychology program. He has taught Psychoanalysis at Jordan University’s School of Psychology. Dr. Jacir’s main focus of interest revolves around looking at how psychiatric medications work through psychodynamic as well as biologic mechanisms.
Dr. Jacir has developed the theory of the Narcissistic Continuum which he has presented in various conferences around the world including South Padre Island -Texas, Berlin- Germany; Glasgow- Scotland Dubai-UAE as well as at many local conferences in Jordan under the auspices of the Jordanian Psychiatric Association.
