Currently working at NYU Abu Dhabi as Associate Director of Counseling at the Student Health Centre.
Prior to joining NYU at the beginning of 2016, I spent 11.5 years working as an Associate Victims Expert at the International Criminal Court in The Hague providing psycho-social care and support for victims of sexual crimes and children affected by conflict worldwide. In addition to my full-time job at the ICC, I worked part-time as Faculty at Webster University in Leiden since 2008, teaching various subjects in Psychology both at undergraduate and graduate levels. Prior to that, I have been working with victims and witnesses at the International Criminal Tribunal for Former Yugoslavia in the Hague. I am CBY and ACT trained, specialized in the treatment of PTSD, anxiety, depression, burnout, and stress, etc.
I also have a proven record of acting as a trainer and a coach in the field of change and conflict management, work-related stress management and burnout prevention as well as secondary traumatization and psycho-social aspects of the investigative interview.
