Kristijan Civljak, PhD serves as a Lecturer at the North Park University and The Chicago School of Professional Psychology where he expands and develops courses for socio-cultural foundation, culture centered interventions, and organizational and cultural dynamics for graduate students. Dr. Civljak comes from Belgrade, Serbia, where he graduated with the highest honors from the University of Belgrade and soon after, continued his education in the United States in which he obtained his Doctorate degree in International Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Besides extensive teaching experience in higher education, Dr. Civljak is focused on organizational development and the role of consulting in leadership, diversity and inclusion, and change management. His research focus is on exploration of the settlement decisions of Serbian migrants in the major cities in the United States, which propelled him to develop a construct map of migrants’ desires, career opportunities, transnational networks, and family values. Dr. Civljak also serves as a developmental coach and is partnered with national and international clients from an array of different industries in order to inspire them to optimize their personal and professional potential in the creative process of learning, development, and problem solving. In addition to the field of International Psychology, Kristijan is an accomplished concert pianist, actively performing across the United States and Europe.
