Nadia Maricar is a Ph.D. candidate in International Psychology with a concentration in trauma services at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has recently successfully defended her dissertation: Malay Muslim Healers’ Roles and Experiences in Treating Patients With Mental Health Issues in Singapore. Nadia earned her Bachelor’s with honors from HELP University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Monash University, Australia. Originally from Singapore, she has lived in Malaysia and the Netherlands, and has traveled extensively.
